Scratchy voice crooner's best album is the most recent, Hotel Heaven, where he elicits John Lennon and Lenny Kravitz in a more 1950's rock-driven effort with tons of echo, and concise compositions.
Earlier efforts tend to expose vocal limitations and are more emo soul-pop.
